However, relevant patient information is distributed and spread over separate heterogeneous information systems (HIS, RIS, PACS), where each requires its own login and user interaction scheme. Furthermore, transfer of different planning data objects into the OR is currently not accomplished in a consistent electronic manner. This work proposes a framework, which integrates heterogeneous clinical information systems using a portal application with single-sign on and single-patient-lookup functionality. OR planning data can be composed into a digital planning record, which is seamlessly transferred to the modular integrated OR system. Data acquired or generated during surgery is automatically labeled with the electronic patient context, thus ensuring simple and consistent OR documentation.","license":"You are licensing your work to Kitware Inc. under the\nCreative Commons Attribution License Version 3.0.\n\nKitware Inc. agrees to the following:\n\nKitware is free\n * to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work\n * to make derivative works\n * to make commercial use of the work\n\nUnder the following conditions:\n\\\"by Attribution\\\" - Kitware must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor.\n\n * For any reuse or distribution, they must make clear to others the license terms of this work.\n * Any of these conditions can be waived if they get permission from the copyright holder.\n\nYour fair use and other rights are in no way affected by the above.\n\nThis is a human-readable summary of the Legal Code (the full license) available at\nhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode","keywords":["context integration","integrated or"],"authors":[{"name":"Bohn, Stefan","email":"stefan.bohn@medizin.uni-leipzig.de","affiliations":["University of Leipzig, Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery (ICCAS)"],"corresponding":true},{"name":"Lindner, Dirk","affiliations":[]},{"name":"Petzold, Christian","affiliations":[]},{"name":"Burgert, Oliver","email":"oliver.burgert@reutlingen-university.de","affiliations":[]}],"date_submitted":"2011-08-05 07:29:25","external_publication_id":805,"revision_cids":["bafkreiai2boxfo2opdyzuvxtwwxml4b3x2gklbcngpzjzkprm74aiacro4"]},"mdast":{"type":"root"},"downloads":[{"url":"https://ipfs.desci.com/ipfs/bafkreiegmls7yhtuc6cviwqegbmaar6vscdti2fwx22gm4xgy7ogqa64oq","title":"root/insight-journal-metadata.json","filename":"insight-journal-metadata.json","extra":{"size_bytes":4088,"type":"file"}},{"url":"https://dweb.link/ipfs/bafkreieyy5fdj2ongswubh6xzusegtku2jvp54kur7l7cb2dwuhmmgybha","title":"root/article.pdf","filename":"article.pdf","extra":{"size_bytes":289287,"type":"file"}}],"references":{"cite":{"order":["ref1","ref2"]},"data":{"ref1":{"label":"ref1","enumerator":"1","url":"https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijmedinf.2008.12.002","html":"International Journal of Medical Informatics+78+386+June 2009+: “The realities of implementation of Clinical Context Object Workgroup (CCOW) standards for integration of vendor disparate clinical software in a large medical center”+390+J 2010 BERGER R+6 Number"},"ref2":{"label":"ref2","enumerator":"2","html":"Version+29+01"}}}}
